Awww, super bummer on the jelly sting.

Thank you for the references, I will plan on checking them out when I eventually make my way down there. I hope the jelly sting subsides and the rest of your trip goes well, good luck n stay safe!

The latest addition of DAN Asia-Pacific Alert Diver Magazine has couple articles on hydroid sting. The first one is pretty scary.
Don't underestimate it.
 
Will check out that article from DAN magazine, Centrals. The Exotic Dive Shop manager thinks it is a Hydroid sting that struck my hand, hasn't seen anything that bad. Thank you.
 
The practice of banning gloves is stupid.
I don't use it but I do realize the benefit of wearing them for protection.
The idea of gloves = touching is ridiculous.
