Rainbow River! (pics!)

Hey everyone,
Just got back from central Florida. We decided to hit up rainbow river for our dive on saturday. It was tons of fun! There was a lot to see and because the deepest it gets is about 21 feet, we were able to dive until our tanks ran out! We were in the water for about 2 housr and 15 min. It was great! i also wanted to thank those who pointed me in the direction of Wet'N Fla scuba. Those guys were great! So, without further to do, here are a few pics! And yes they are from a disposable camera so yeah....

The entrance to really the only cave we saw...it went back about 10 feet or so.

This is from inside the cave and thats me haning on...you can see the current from this spring was pretty strong.

Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures.

This is always been one of my favorite dives in that area... nice gentle and lots to see. Great place to practice photo skills too.

I would recommend a night dive on the river as well...

So, where is Rainbow River? I live in the Panhandle of Florida and I am not familiar with this river. Pictures are great! Looks like a place I want to visit.

Glen, its in north-central FL within the peninsula. I haven't done it yet either, but I've always heard its fun. Definately on my list.

Its near Williston about 20-30 min to the north-east (i think) of crystal river. I'm sure its near devil's den and blue grotto as well...

what we did which was great was charter a boat from i think crystal river dive lodge or something like that. They picked us up at the boat ramp in the K.P hole park, and took us up river a good ways. As we went, the captain pointed out all off the interesting things to see and where to avoid. Once to the drop off point, we basically just giant-Strided off the boat and drifted back down stream to the boat ramp. The boat trip only cost 10 bucks each and it was only 3 each to get into the park. It was a fun cheap dive!
