Radley Owen Ramsey, age 66, of Manhattan, Kansas died June 9, 2017 in Manhattan.

He was born September 18, 1950 in Manhattan, Kansas to Shirley Ebberts Ramsey and Robert Fay Ramsey and was a graduate of Manhattan High School in 1968.

He joined the Army in 1970 for a two year tour serving in the Old Guard at Fort Myer, Virginia. Upon his return home, he joined Team Electronics as a salesperson and later store manager. He moved to Lawrence to manage the Team Electronics store and then started his own store in Lawrence, Omni Electronics.

Radley returned to Manhattan and completed his Bachelors of Science in Finance at Kansas State University. He discovered that he liked being his own boss so he combined his passion of scuba diving and small business ownership when he purchased Aggie Dive Shop and changed the name to Frontier Scuba. As a PADI Master Diver, he taught classes in basic and advanced diving. He had recently retired.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and mother, Shirley. Missing him will be his siblings Jami Ramsey and children Joshua and wife Jaime, Owen, and Taylor Patterson; David Ramsey, his wife Melanie and children Ryan and Cole; and Stuart Ramsey, wife Anne and children Paul, Kirk, and Courtney. Radley made many friends and their friendship enriched his life.

Radley was a great guy with a huge heart. He certified a ton of wounded veterans and brought affordable scuba certifications to local college kids. There isn't a friendlier dive shop owner in the USA, and the world is a sadder place without him.
