R.I. Lobster Size

I've heard that the minimum lobster size has been increased again in R.I. Can not find anything to confirm it though.
Anyone know for sure?

It is 3 and 3/8ths inches.

Not that I am aware of. I didn't see anything on DEM's website to that effect. Where did you hear that?

I did find this Amendment on their site:

7/26/06
PART XV - LOBSTERS, OTHER CRUSTACEANS, AND HORSHOE CRABS
15.11.1 and 15.20.3 - This action removes the scheduled minimum gauge and escape vent increase for lobsters in area 2 and RI state waters. [This regulation becomes effective 8/15/06].


Perhaps that "scheduled minimum guage" increase that was cancelled was the source of what you heard?

No big lobsters and the legal ones have to be huge.
