I was interested in this observation also. As it turns out, the 5 quizzes with the least number of voters has been April 6, 21, 22, 23, and 24. These turn out to be the 5 questions concerning the PADI RDP. April 6 asked about the number of compartments used in the algorithm and which compartment controlled the SI. The last 4 have all been problems to be worked out by using the RDP. April 21 started out very simple and they have increased in complexity somewhat over the next 3 days. The number of votes for these were 23, 46, 28, 21, and 22. The average number of votes per quiz since April 1 has been 75 (21-135).

The quizzes with the most responses were over weighted diver (135), J-valve (130), the balloon and tank in the sun (122) and the dropped tank (121).

You can draw your own conclusions based on these observations. Correct, I have way too much free time these days :)

Someone's a data hound! Nice summary and data. I prefer not to draw conclusions. I know I like to test myself and like a challenge, as long as it is reasonable. Plus, I'm hoping for a couple of new certificaitons from the instructors here! :)

I'm a doctor, Infectious Diseases specialist, enough said. I've seen trends like this in many threads over the years, have even made a few comments about it. The quizzes are a nice diversion, thank you @Pedro Burrito

I got yesterday’s question wrong because I was Sloppy. I did watch 7 minute video to review. Human error is the biggest reason to listen to your computer. Odds are more likely that your computer is correct and your dive plan was wrong. In any case, trust the more conservative numbers.

I just pulled out my 1981 NAUI tables, much less conservative than the newer tables.

Are the newer ones the RGBM tables? I wonder what the 1981 tables were based on, USN?

Agreed. I do these things best on paper, otherwise I'm prone to making errors when I transfer. Transcribing errors are very common in my experience.

I guess this has implications if you were using tables to plan and execute you dives.

If tables are your method you need to ensure sufficient headspace is available to do it well. Same as ratio deco, clearly works if you allocate enough brainpower to manage it.

I know how prone to distraction I am. I also know how much of my professional life has been finding errors, I'm not unique. Computers are a good thing for the safety of diving.

A very small percentage of divers say they still use tables to plan and execute their dives How do you dive?
