OK, so on LP hoses the connections should be finger tight plus a smidgen.

Should the torque be just the same on all three connections of a HP hose with a quick disconnect?
 
God no!

If you figure that your HP is about 30 times more pressure that your HP. Therefore it needs a little more torque. This is one of those things that is difficult to describe without a visual demonstration. I would say tighten it about 1/4 to 1/3 less than as tight as it would go with a really stubby wrench so you don't get too much torque. That is not to say tighten it all the way and back off......
