I just picked up two Pro Plus 2 HPQD computers from my LDS. (Thanks Doug for your guidance.) However, I have a question they could not answer. I asked if Oceanic made a HPDQ gauge console to have in my save-a-dive kit. Should the computer fail, I would like to simply disconnect the computer and hook up a depth/pressure gauge head and return to diving. No tool, no extra hoses, no worries. Possible?

Dave

Short answer: why would you want to?
You could always carry a spare hose and SPG and depth guage along if that does happen, does not take a lot of tools to change a hose.

BUT if you still want to, look at a Veo 180/250/SWIV Console and maybe use that instead as a backup if the hoses match up.

That's my whole point. I fly with my gear and every pound counts. If I can get just the SPG/DG that connects with no tools, I'll be happy. If not, I may just have to make one up from parts.

Well in that case look at the console above, I am sure you can get it without a computer and just pop a BT or depth gauge in there.

But if weight is an issue, a full console would probaly weigh more then a SPG/BT combo - no?
