Is this border line?, so so or sort slides/yardwork kinda day?

Wed...n Winds 15 To 25 Kt...decreasing To 10 To 20 Kt In The Evening.
Wind Waves 3 To 5 Ft. Nw Swell 7 To 9 Ft.

That's kinda big, but if the interval is long (say, 15 seconds), then it'd be diveable. That said, the red tide was not only in the bay, but also now in the marina/k-dock area and all the way out around Point Pinos yesterday. I'd probably stay home unless Monastery looks fairly flat or Point Lobos isn't booked up, although the Cove looked green yesterday, too. At the Needle we had 30 ft of vis.

Edit: Have you looked at the tide tables? The difference is over 8 1/2 feet. If you do go, look for some fairly strong currents. This is NOT the time to shore dive Lobos Rocks.
