We are in the process of booking CVR?Utila Lodge, in the pictures of Utila Lodge it looks like one building is in front of the other...Can you request a certain location for your room, and if so, what are the best rooms? We have requested a bungalow at CVR. Not going til April of next year. Thanks!

I work at Utila Lodge, and all the rooms are nice! ;)
But seriously, the rooms upstairs have a better view.
All the upstair rooms basically share the same view of
the Utila harbor.

I would say that the room on the second floor, closest to the building with the office and dining room is the best. I stayed there this past New Year's. I loved the porch with the hammock and the cross-breeze through the room from the entry porch on the other side. This room pushes you the furthest away from land and is on the second floor, thus better views. Have a great time - say hello to Queen, Willie and Marley from Andrew + Annette.

If you mean CoCoView when you say CVR, most of us CoCoNuts use the initials "CCV"!

Bugalows are nice because two of four feature a king sized bed and all of them have mini fridges (I think). They have small, open air porch balconies over the water. They require a little cooperation when used by two people at the same time, and you can hob nob with your neighbors or wave to the folks on the jetty gazebo.

The slightly less expensive Cabanas are my personal choice. You only have a twin bed and a single, and no outside porch or balcony per se. The feature is that the front or ocean side of the room is all screen. It's a screen wall.

No one can see in, but you can see out.

You do the math.
