I kinda inherited a pair of openheel Beauchat X-Jet fins. Seeing as these are my first non-rental fins, I'm wondering how they compare to some of the split fin designs out there. These seem to push me through the water pretty well, but they got a little banged up going through some rough mexican customs officials on a trip to Cozumel. I can't seem to find any reviews or other objective material on the fins.

Any help would be appreciated.
