Hi All

I have an advance OW certification and I am more of a leisure diver. I don't intend to go much deeper than 30m/90 feet.

Now I have am thinking of getting a dive computer. The one that I have in mind is the Suunto Mosquito.

I read some good comments on the Mosquito. Any reasons I should avoid getting this and any other suggestion will be appreciated? Thanks!

I have a Mosquito and would recommend it. I've use a rental comp once and a borrowed comp once both of which had larger displays, but that wasn't a problem for me anyway. I would suggest that you only get one from an authorized dealer. I'm on my second Mosquito after a warranty replacement and many other posts talk about owners on their 2nd or 3rd (or more!) replacement units.

I have a Mosquito and after a year, haven't had any problems with it. I would definately recommend it and if had to do it all over again, would purchase another.

I use the Mosquito as a back-up, my main computer is the Cobra (which I love!!!). I had bought the Mosquito for my son, who had decided that diving isn't his thing.

Thanks All for the comment. So far from my search of the Board, it seems there are both pro and con comments on the Mosquito. Some owner seems to need to get a 2nd replacement due to some fault to the earlier one. But I guess all other dive comp have their own set of problems.

As for the Mosquito, i intend to use it as my main comp as the Cobra might be too sophisisticated for me :)

Ok will do some more research before committing myself.

Thanks again.

At the moment I have been diving in tropical waters and have never wear gloves in all my dives so far. Do not intend to venture into colder water any time soon.

Thanks for comment anyway.
