I don't personally own a Maximus, but my buddy does. She has one she bought second hand, & it it seems to be a great reg. However, just as you describe, the adjustment knob fell off. She had it replaced about a month ago, but when we were doing a pool dive last week it fell off again. Maybe some LocTite on the screw? I dunno. Comments?
I've had this problem too. I thought I just got lucky.
