i was reading this other thred about conditions at weatherll today

i see this type of post often. some times good condition sometimes not so good.
i know its a popular spot but all to often i see people diving there with crap conditions..
when its blowing 30 outa the south why dive a site with southern exposure
scubasauraus. this is by no means directed at you just inspired...

im not flaming anyone.. and forgive me if this sounds like a unpleasant post.
hopefully this will inspire a alternitive dive site thread.....

theres planty of various places..
Fort adams would been a fair chioce today..
theres a few decent sites there

actually there are a few good spots there. but theres alot of barren boaring as well

I'd rather go to Taylor Point. Let's see who can count 1000 hermit crabs first! :rolleyes:
 
whils on the FT Adams property on the eastern side (not the harbor) looking across at weatherll..... that area has some nice bottom strucure. small ledges. and gets down to 50-60 feet fairly fast.. (as opposed to the rest of the area) and the bottom composition id rugged not muddy till almost 100 feet of depth...
in the summer theres lotsa marine life there...
