Either...I prefer to camp unless it's hot outside. If it is, then I demand an air-conditioned room. Call me a princess, ohmdiver!

Do you own a Thermarest?

have a blow up mattress for guests, sure beats an old fold out bed w/ the bar across your back.

did you go anywhere fun for vacation over the holidays?

Northern florida mostly, except for the BIG trip, for that, it might be Coz or someplace in sunny Mehico. For those *HOT* days when i'm camping, I pack a window A/C unit with me ... keeps the tent nice and coooooool.

What's your favorite camping spot?

Olympic Mountains in Washington state

Have you ever considered hiking the Appalachian Trail?

Yes. It was years ago, I was going to buy an aluminum framed backpack, with all the gear ... but I got sidetracked in another direction. I'm a bit older now, but would still like to make the trip. If I had a full month to blow, i'd like to take a loooooong, trail walk. That would be something to try.

When your camping, what are your favorite activities?

In the mojave desert an old adobe ruin, where 50 of my friends would camp for a three day party when I was in High school
You?

I love those old adobe structures! It's amazing how many homes are still built using just "straw and mud" ... you'd think the rain would completely wash it away. :rofl3:

If you could build and live in a house made of mud and straw for 5 years, but have all the amenities (inside) your used to, would you do it?
