Have you ever found lost gear that was immediately claimed by a buddy or friend?

I once found a buddies brand new dive computer as it was falling past me. I let him freak out for about a half hour before telling him I found it and giving it back. A couple of weeks later I found a big dive flag w/ the same buddies name on it, he loses a lot of stuff.
