Ok, So my new Transplate and voyager wing came in today and of course the first thing I did was try it on.

But one thing I noticed is that the exhaust valve on the upper elbow rubs on my tank, Is this normal?

I positioned the tank as low as I could but it still rubs leaving black marks on the tank.

I am using a STA if that matters.

Replace the pull dump with a simple elbow and both problems will be cured.

If you really have to have the pull dump, you could try loosening the connection and rotate the pull dump mechanism 30 degrees to the next seating position. (It is a 12 sided fitting.)

Actually I was just looking at the standard elbows. Do you have to remove the dump cable when you swap elbows or do you just leave it in there?

Yes the cable is removed. There is nothing to fasten it to in the elbow and I would not want it flopping around in the hose. I don't understand why a wing came with a pull dump anyway.

Ok, So I have repositioned the tank and wing into every possible position I could. Dump still rubs.

I am going to order the standard elbow, but I kinda wanna know why mine seems to be the only wing ever made that the shoulder dump rubs...lol.

What am I doing wrong?

Even with the wing all the way up as far as it will go, and the tank straps all the up to the dome of the tank, it will rub at full inflation... I don't get it.

I tried this as well.

I own or have owned seven wings including the ones on my express tech. Never had anything other than a plain elbow. I can honestly say that I personally don't know anyone with a pull dump on their wing save a few posters on here. Maybe they are so rare you don't hear about them.

I'm not sure it's a big deal. Do you like the pull dump? People like to hem and haw an awful lot online about things that really don't matter much in real life.

In real life you don't have your wing inflated fully very often, and enough other stuff rubs and clanks and bumps underwater...

If you do decide to remove it, the pull cable is held on to the inflator end with a stainless steel pin that slides out very easily. Make sure to use good zip ties when reassembling, some places only sell these really thin ones and you want something sturdy.

From the 2nd picture the tank strap seems a little low. Try moving it up to where the shoulder of the tank is?
