Question about Halcyon Eclipse

I purchased an Halcyon Eclipse set up last year and I see there is a "pocket" on the BP. What exactly is this for? Is it for safety marker and lift bag or something else? It seems like it'd be uncomfortable to put anything there but what do I know. Any info or photos would be appreciated.

Motorcity... yes I think most people stow their DSMB there. It's not uncomfortable unless you got one of those safety markers with a big release valve. Actually, mine does, but you can position it to avoid digging into your back. The space is fairly large so I think the trick is to not tightly roll up you DSMB so it will sit flatter against the BP.

Personally, I keep my DSMB attached to my spool with the DSMB tucked into the Halcyon BP pocket and the spool clipped off to my waist D ring. Easy to reach back, unclip the spool and pull out the whole thing...

But then, guaranteed someone will probably post shortly that I'm gonna die as that's an entanglement hazard...

It's for a surface marker or a lift bag. I never find it uncomfortable having the lift back secured there.
