Yes! Thanks for the heads up wwguy. We'll be there June 3-11...REALLY HOPE THEY'RE NOT ON "ISLAND TIME".....

Fantastic, just in time for our trip the first week in May...
Don't sweat it. There are so many great sites in Bon, having to pass on one should not effect your trip at all. We did not dive Salt Pier our first three trips and they were all still wonderful. We have still yet to hit all the sites in Bon.

I agree with tkaelin, there are so many good sites on Bonaire that not being able to dive salt pier is not a huge hardship.

The pier is a critical working structure for Cargill which is a huge company, so the repairs might actually be done on schedule.

Pretty sure I saw something on FB that they are still working on the pier... Can anyone on island confirm that it is still closed to divers?

I'm on Bonaire now .... it was closed a couple of days ago. We were told at the dive shop it is closed indefinitely ... until repairs are done. The sites directly north and south are closed also.
