i was wondering if this set up (transpac II and rec wing) requires a single tank adaptor to run a single tank.

No, it is a soft harness designed for single tank diving and not the best solution for doubles diving.

You might consider going with the TransPlate instead. A number find it more stable ..... just as comfortable .... does not retain water ... packs just as easy... yada yada

wait isnt a transplate for double tanks? i only plan on doing single tank dives for awhile.

No, actually it is for both if you want.

I have one and have so far only dove singles and love it.

Rich is correct. The Transplate give you the option to dive doubles later if you wish where with the Transpac, you can dive doubles, but you would need to buy a mounting bracket and it is not as stable.

Not with a Dive Rite wing. The STA makes it easier to switch between singles and doubles.

interesting, im getting a dive rite transpacII and Rec wing for a killer price but the seller says that you need a STA to dive singles with the set up.
