I need some trim pouches for my tank bands, as well as for a weight belt.

Instead of buying the XS Scuba trim pouches at $9 ea. from LP, it looks like a better deal is to buy the 8-pouch belt for $32, and move a couple of pouches to the tank band... assuming they fit

Now, in the pictures their weight belt pouches look just like the trim pouches... I assume they are the same thing but I wanted to be sure. So can you remove the pouches from their weight belt and stick 'em on any old 2" webbing?

Thanks!

I seem to recall that someone else tried this and couldn't get it to work - that the belt pockets aren't designed to be removed and/or compatible with webbing.

It's been a while since I last read this, so perhaps I'm wrong.

Personally I use their pockets with the vecro web release. Makes putting them on/off the cambands a ton easier. Once everything is on the tank it's not coming off anyway.

edit: hehehe the thread was listed at the bottom once I posted. :) http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=127145

Thanks for that link, I knew it was too good to be true. ;)
