Hi. Welcome to the board.

As far as how to assemble the regulator - you shouldn't. Take it to your local dive shop and ask them to do it. If you bought the regulator elsewhere, you should expect to pay for this service, but it's worth the money.

If you make a mistake, even in something as simple as screwing the hoses together, you can end up paying an even higher price. Never mind the potential for a leak, you can easily damage the soft brass and even softer plastic, thus ruining the regulator. Of course, if you make a bad enough mistake and the thing comes apart underwater, you can get hurt or killed.

Mostly it isn't complicated but staying within the limits of your training extends to working on your gear, too. Get the training and you won't need to ask here for instructions.

Hi there, and welcome to SB :crafty:

Your question was scary :11: but the other guys have given you good answers. I want an expert Tech to handle my reg every time it's adjusted, or on annual service. I know mine personally, his wife, 2 of his kids. Just too important.

Be sure to drop in our New To Diving forum for a wealth of ino...

Well, it really is quite simple. Probably even easier than messing with the search function which would get you lots of info. Console with HP hose goes to an HP port. 2nds and BC inflator hose to LP ports. 80 inch-pounds of torque on those hose connectors. It's brass and can be destroyed with too much torque. Lube on the o-rings is perfered but not absolutely necessary. Regs should have been adjusted to specs before they left the factory. But a little tweeking may make it better.

Any doubts: You should be able to find an LDS who will do it right for under $20.

Hello NY50,

like the others said.

Laurens

BTW, welcome (Scub)aBoard! :happywave

Nobody mentioned it but the HP and LP outlet sizes are normally different sizes so you can't mix them.

Welcome to ScubaBoard.

It's really pretty simple, but "if you have to ask, don't do it."
