I took this photo in Beqa Lagoon, Fiji. I found a picture that looked just like it in a diver magazine when staying in Fiji; it said it was rare. However I forgot to write down what it was, and now I can't figure it out. Can someone help? Thank you!

It looks to me like a tunicate, but I've no idea what sort.

I agree, tunicate, perhaps Painted Tunicate.

That looked likely based on a quick google image search, but I don't know enough about them to have hazarded a guess.
