Pure vision vs. X-vision

Well I went to my LDS and tried on the X-vision and it fits better than I remember. So I am going to go with that one for now. Thanks for all the responses OH and I tried on that Demon mask, it fit well but it looks a bit freaky to me.

Question for everyone here, has anyone dove the Mares Demon mask. Its pricey, but it looks like it may be a big improvement of the already fantastic X vision.

anyone with a pure-vision have any problems with a leak? I really like the mask but somewhere its leaking and causing a slight stream of bubbles from the upper left frame and it's making the most annoying noise underwater (think of a continous high pitch fart...). I thought I might have gotten a lemon, but I exchanged it for another pure-vision and still have the problem (although not as sever as the other). It's not a major leak but does eventually leads to my mask slowly filling with water... Maybe, they just don't fit my face...

As a matter of fact, my Pure Vision leaks... was a small leak.. now a bad leak. It barely a year old, always well maintained / cleaned. somewhere on the left side, it leaks, not sure where. time for another mask. Does anyone know if the demon skirt is the same as pure vision ? I may give the demon a try but skeptical about another mares.

The Demon mask has a different skirt than the Pure Vision. Please don't be skeptical, we sell extremely large quantities of the Pure/X-Vision masks. The number of defects is less than 1%, but if you have a problem we do stand behind it.

Thank, you Phil. But if you don't mind, would you tell me the difference between X-Vision and Demon skirt. I just bought X-Vision mask, after long wondering on the market. I had Cressi Matrix, Appolo,Omer masks and all of them leak on my cheekbone.I bought X-Vision and tried it in the pool. Better, but still not good. Very little leaking.
My question is: What is the difference between X-Vision and Demon skirt wise. I'm 6'3 with rather large face.

The Demon has a bigger frame/lense and skirt than the X Vision.

My first X-Vision started leaking after about a year as well...turns out the plastic frame holding the lens shattered in multiple places! I always kept it in the rigid container in which it came and it looked like the mask fractured, like a stress fracture. Went back to my LDS and bought a different mask (a Poseidon) which fit great in the shop but leaked like a sieve under water (didn't realize how breathing from a reg would puff out my cheeks and lift up the skirt (hehehe cheeks and skirt). Anyway, I am now the proud owner of yet another Mares X-Vision. I just love the fit and comfort...just hope it doesn't break again!
