Hey gang!

Well our group was small but we had a good time! I'll just give a short outline of what went on and let the others fill in.

A couple of us took a few decorations down to the platform in the morning and spent 46 minutes wrestling with string and floating decorations :)

Four of us carved pumpkins and some of the others watched (something about clumsy, sharp objects and drysuits) ;) The carving went well and the fish were getting extremely personal; I think one was trying to inflate my drysuit the way it was ramming my chest with its head.

Cyril has a buddy now thanks to DrIra. He's very fragile so when you see him please don't move him.

The night dive was a hoot! We brought glow in the dark necklaces aka 8" glow sticks and wore them around our necks, ankles, knees, wrists, you name it. I had gotten some head pieces that you could put the 8" glow sticks in and make bunny ears so a couple of us (including one pumpkin) wore those too  We were a sight to see judging by the comments from some other divers at the quarry.

Post dive was the campfire and the s'mores--YUMMY! You can't beat the conversation around a GLWC campfire especially when scubapolly is involved--what a great time!

All in all I think everyone had a good time, I know I certainly had fun!

Will post some pics asap. Unfortunately the glowing diver stuff just doesn't work with my camera so all I have is the daylight stuff. Y'all have to come around next year and glow with us!

Even though I missed the carving I had a wonderful time during the night dive and getting to know you all. I particularly enjoyed the plastic axes!

That's too bad the night pictures didn't come out.

Here are a couple of the smaller file size photos. I need some time to shrink these things, they are HUGE!

Ummm Chris, put that down ok?

I like to think of my conversations as informative, I mean if you are ever in Key West, and need to make the decision of going into a bar or not, I have definatly given you all a couple of places NOT to go, well unless you are into that sort of thing.

I had a great time.... maybe next year I feel a little more secure in my cutting pumpkins around my drysuit abilities.

I got in trouble for trying to use a plastic pumpkin also.

And just what were you trying to use the plastic pumpkin for? :D

The pic showed up fine on my screen, it was a little big at first but I just scrolled with my mouse and that seemed to adjust the zoom.

I didn't say the campfire conversation wasn't informational, the whole thing was right up my alley :14: You can chat around my campfire anytime!

Trying to post my first picts on SB

http://www.scubaboard.com/images/pxnavyblue/attach/jpg.gif

I did something wrong---click on this pict and it's too big. What am I doing wrong?

SB doesn't automatically resize uploaded files to something more viewable. Fortunately I use Firefox browser which will down size the photo automatically to fit the screen with the option of zooming back out to the extents if I so choose.

You MAY want to just quickly resize the image down 50% or so before you upload it... just a thought....

It was good meeting you Saturday!
