What does everyone prefer? Didn't see any results for this specifically, but I can't imagine it hasn't been discussed.

I am unaware of any advantages to the Ikelite housing. What appeals to you?

The Ikelite is heavier duty, serviceable, allows interchangeable ports and the use of the full fisheye lens behind a dome that OM makes for the camera. May use Ike's new strobes?

On the other hand, there are several high-quality wet wideangle lenses that can be added on the front of the Olympus housing. Also, there are other housings...like SeaFrogs (cheap) and Nauticam (expensive) and others...not just Olympus and Ikelite.

They are neither a full frame fisheye or circular fisheye zoomed fully out. My only interest in getting a TG vs the three rigs I have is the inability to play with circular fisheye. Is it important, no really, but maybe to me. But getting a TG is about bottom priority for me about near taking out the garbage.

Again, to my current knowlege, the only housing that allows a full circular fisheye is the Ikelite, pretty sure, could be wrong.

You like to argue don't you :)? You asked for some reasons, I gave you some.

I asked the OP, not you, and your narrow answer about a fisheye is likely not very helpful to the OP.

I went with the Oly housing. Much more compact than the Ikelite. You have to get adapters for most lenses
