Rancho Palos Verdes is holding a public hearing on the status of development at Long Point (old Marineland) on Tuesday April 5th at 7pm (see the email notice I recieved below). Presumably the council will accept public comments---a perfect venue to register interest in maintaining ocean access and parking during construction. I won't be able to attend that evening---can anyone else (especially anyone who lives in RPV)?

Much more information on the development is at:

I recieved the following notice via the RPV listserv service at http://www.palosverdes.com/rpv/listserver/index.cfm

Thanks for posting this.

I believe that it is important for divers to make their voices heard with regard to maintaining public access to Old Marineland as a part of the overall plans in this development.

This is a fantastic place to shore dive and it would be a shame to loose the beach access that we have enjoyed for so many years.

Hopefully, the developers have already taken this into account and built public access into their plans.

Christian
