Trying to reserve 3 people for Pt Lobos but having trouble. What is the proper procedure to get 3 tickets? Also, when exactly does a specific date become available to get a reservation. TIA

My understanding is that you have to make 2 reservations (i.e. for 4 people). It was open at the beginning of the month for the following month.

have to make 2 reservations then have one say their partner is TBD, check in together and state you are diving as a group of 3. they don't allow group reservations anymore iirc.

Why do they have such arbitrary rules at Pt. Lobos?
You'll have to ask the management. I don't think they're on ScubaBoard.
They limit the number of divers per day due to the small parking lot at Whaler's Cove and to minimize impact on the Reserve. I think the Active.com platform that they use for reservations doesn't really have a way to count up teams of different sizes towards the total daily limit.
