Point Lobos was absolutely stellar on Saturday!
An incredible day of great vis and tons of life!
Lings,cabs and rockfish oh my!!!

Water was nice and blue with vis easily over 50ft out past the mouth of whalers!
Water temp was right about 50 degrees at 80ft of depth-not much warmer in the cove!
Gotta bust out on a drysuit! BRRR!

Thanks to Mark W. for a great Tour of the middle reef. I know have 20 watt HID envy!
Why do those things cost so much!!!!I know,I know there worth it!

One of those days we live for!!!:D

Arggggh, I knew I should have gone. I was actually planning to head over for Saturday, but found out I had to work Sunday, so bailed deciding the vis might be stirred up anyway.

Now I find out best diving ever, great vis, lots of life, lots of slugs. D'oh!

Boy...do I know how you feel Ishie; and the fact that I have to work almost every weekend doesn't help at all. At least I'll get my Lobos fix next week. :)

Hey, I TRIED to tell ya! Did you get my message? Vis seemed to be 50-60 feet everywhere. It was foggy in the morning though, if that makes you feel better.

Drewpie,
Nice meeting you.. Me and my buddy Rob were the ones who swung by and chatted for a while.

Breakwater was outstanding so I can just imagine what Lobos was like.

Hey Ben-nice meeting you guys as well...I think i remember seeing you guys a few weeks back at south monasterey? Do you guys drive a black pickup/suv..?
Anyway..it was a great day and Im glad you guys got wet somewhere.
Im just down the road in Pleasant Hill if you ever are in need of a buddy..?

Drewpy,

I was at south Monastery a few weeks back. I drive a black pickup. Great viz and got some great egg yolk jelly shots. I actually had reservations for Pt. Lobos this past saturday but at the last minute I couldn't make it. Now that I'm working again, it's really cutting into my diving. :(
