I am using a PT-20 for my 5060 with an INON base plate, arm and 2000 strobe. Got back to my room after a dive and layed my camera down on the bed and it just popped off of the arm - after looking closer I noticed that the metal plate on the bottom had come completely off. One screw was missing and the four plastic mounts holding the screws had all broken off with the three screws still in place on the plate. I am quite dissapointed for three reasons. 1> the one year warranty expired two months ago, 2> The base plate construction on these PT-20 is weak and not engineered well, 3> I take very good care of my equipment. Since this all happened during the middle of my dive holiday I managed to get some MIGHTY BOND which is some local version of super glue I think. I glued the breaks and around the hole where the arm or weight would normally go, left it for over 12hours and it held up for about 8 dives after that (i also tied thin rope around the housing just to be safe). My question is: has anyone heard of this happening before and do you recommend that I pry it off again and get some proper plastic proxy to make a solid joint?

Happy to mention that Olympus Japan offer trade-in specials once a year. I can get a brandnew one for about $100. When you consider that I have done about 80 dives with it that's not too bad, better than worrying about a flooded camera.
