Hello I have had an Olympus PT-015 housing for over a year. I can't seem to find any info on required service(my old Nikonos use to be sent out for O ring replacement every two years). What is the preventative maintenance on this housing?

Try replacing the two main (red) O rings for a start, then lube each of the push buttons with a drop of silicon lube (from the outside of the housing), plus a couple of drops on the shutter release, zoom lever, shutter speed dial and mode dial (lift it up and down after lubing). This is a basic service that I have been doing for 2 1/2 years on my housings and after hundreds of dives and are still like new!

I'll second Reefwalker.

I have been doing the same thing with both my PT-010 housings and also have hundreds of dives on them with no problems.

It should be pure liquid silicone.

Get it at a dive shop.

Trident makes a spray bottle of it.

Get the PUMP bottle as shown - not the aerosol spray.

Just to be clear......don't try to spray the silicone into those tight spots. Spray a 'puddle' of the silicone into a small container and use a toothpick or other pointy opbject, a craft syringe works great, place a small drop of silicone at the base of each button.

One of my PT-15's is 3 years old and still in fine shape.
