I just came from Sting Ray City and saw and petted ole' Psycho for the first time and I was wondering if any of you knew any of his history, like how he ended up in Sting ray city or had any funny or weird "Psycho" stories to tell. It would be appreciated.
Thanks

"Psycho" is only a name that has been given to many green morays at SRC. Many of them have been removed to other areas of the ocean. Why you may ask!
What most don't know is that in a 1-3 year time frame, green morays have taken bites out of the hands, wrist, ankles, legs of divers/videographers.
DAN actually had a "blurb" on this in one of their magazines some years ago.
Do not pet the eel, and encourage your feeder/divemaster not to feed the eel.
We, the dive professional, have brought this upon ourself, and now it is something that must cease.
(BTW, surgeries are usually required, stitches are part of the bit, and it has driven many from the industry. I should also not that from the "bites" I'm referring to, I know that one was a videographer who was not feeding but just taking video).
Thank you//tks
