Unclip primary before closing down the left post was the way my instructor demonstrated.

The other way works, but unclipping first is much smoother and shows you were thinking ahead in the drill.

I think thats well said. I mean granted you can breathe off it when its clipped off but why mess around or take the chance? Just take the extra second to unclip it before moving on and everything will look cleaner and smoother IMO.

- center post close/open goes after open right post
- unclip right second stage goes before close left post
- after unclip right goes purge right

Yup, the easy way to remember it is that valve drill and flow check (which always needs to be done after valve drill) go right to left -- right post, iso, left post (and then stages and argon for flow check)

Just remember that, and to always purge a reg before attempting to breath it, and it hopefully gets easier to remember (did for me anyway -- when I first read the list of steps I thought I'd never be able to remember them let alone actually perform them)
