It's past time to move my 17 year old daughter into a BPW. She is smaller, so I'm looking for manufacturers who sell a small backplate. I have found Diverite, do you have other suggestions for those who make smaller sizes?

I know that this is very old school, but have you evaluated a plastic back plate, as the early BP+wing which predated jackets?
My one is plastic, light, compact, with a very nice handle. Both my sons started using it at 12 years old, and they loved it. With a small wing it becomes really inexistent...
Something like this: Metalsub Per Cablaggio Serbatoio Singolo Backpack | Diveinn

I have been doing a ton of research on the internet and had my eye on buying a Halcyon backplate without wing or with, and I believe they sell two different sizes which I thought was rather odd. Can anyone provide more details?

Sub Gravity makes a short back plate in both 3mm stainless steel and 3mm aluminum.
I have their 3mm aluminum back plate, 26 lb wing and adjustable harness and love it.

If you can find a Golem Stream, it's close to ideal for a small backplate for use with a single tank.

Another option.

SCUBA BCD Backplates . It requires an STA, but is still lower profile than a standard doubles plate.

My reason for switching to BPW is next summer when she turns 18, we will move into your world of technical diving together. So need something for twin tanks, but my backplate is fairly large on her frame.

Then ignore my previous post.

You already know about Dive Rite. Others:

Halcyon - Halcyon - Stainless Steel Backplate

OxyCheq - discontinued? No one seems to have them in stock. Cave Adventurers - Oxycheq small backplate - Marianna, Florida USA - Never Undersold!

Sub Gravity - backordered 3mm Aluminum Backplate - SubGravity

Maybe call Northeast Scuba Supply and Dive Right In Scuba and see if they have anything that's not listed (this has worked in previous threads on this subject):

Ive used mine with singles and banded\manifolded doubles. For banded- doubles, bolts on the longish side and knobed-nuts instead of wing nuts is helpfull for assembly and comfort.

Looking them up, it appears they gave three diffrent sizes, small standard and long. It appears they offer all three sizes in all three of their BP materials, SS, AL, and carbon. Thank you.
