I went beck and read my SSI Stress and Rescue book. It states:
"one method is to remove the unconscious diver's weights, then control ascent with your BC. This allows you to let the victim free float to the surface if you must let go to control yourself or your rate of ascent"
Seems to me I would rather use THEIR BC if possible and drop weights on surface. However, if its an OOA situation then this method might work well.
Also, I guess you would want to use this technique if using your BC. If you don't drop the weights and you do use your BC then you better not have to let go of that diver...
