If I'm correct, Miflex high pressure hose are the ones that are braided, right?

If that is the case then I do not have this type of hose. All of my hoses are 'straight rubber' (without trying to sound gangster or too much of a hillbilly) :eyebrow:
 
even if its new to you the proton ice extreme is old stock so the soft parts could be years old at this point.

Correct. The MiFlex HP is pencil thin and braided. Very different from standard hoses.
