the other day was washing out the bladder after a dive and i unscrewed the lower dump valve to release some water and when i unscrewed it the piece which the spring makes a seal against came off with it! the other piece fell into the bladder. so now the ring that normally sits out side of the bladder when you unscrew the cap is now stuck inside the cap of the dump valve, is there any way to get this piece out?

Put the stuck assembly on the freezer for 20 minutes, then find a sticky surface like a plastic or rubberish placemat, take the assembly of the freezer and warm the cap with you hands, press the assembly against the placemat and unscrew the cap from the male part.

The placemat will hold the male part while you unscrew it from the cap.

Until you get a BC tool ( www.diveritesexpress.com carry them most of the time), try not to tighten the cap too much, when you get the BC tool, tighten the male part to the part inside the bladder, since these parts are all plastic, take care not to overtighten them.

It's common for manufacturers to leave these 2 parts not too tight and your problem is very comon to be heard about.

Ofcourse, you can use pliers and leave marks on the pieces, but I prefer not to.

That's easy, mine does that all the time. Wiggle the wing around until you can get the nut back in the right place. The nut part inside the wing doesn't come out, so once you wiggle it back in place, screw the valve back in place.

Same experience....same advice. There are plastic lubes you could use but there are many mixed opions on them.
