If you drop Jeanie a line at dive@trespelicanos.com she should be able to accommodate your group. She normally responds pretty quickly other than early evening on Tuesday’s and Fridays when she is over teaching Turtle conservation classes on the East side. With a group of 7 you could most likely arrange your own boat and go to the sites of your choice. Tres Pelicanos normally works off of a group choice on dive sites, weather and conditions permitting and operate on a dive your tank model as opposed to either a timed dive or up and out as a group model.

Next month is the beginning of the of the busier season and you should probably make arrangements soon.

I sent off three emails today..Tres, Pro and Blue Sea......heard back from Pro already and like what I read....will evaluate all three, select one. I'll share my choice here and certainly my experience upon our return in December.

Pro mentioned high season begins at and after the 25th December.

I dove last year the first week of November with Dressel Divers and there were more people diving then than when I went with them the first week of May. I think the busy season is changing because divers are trying to beat the busy season. :-)

Well, the "high season" is a statistical thing and the timing of it depends on whom you ask. Generally the colder months in the US are the high season on Cozumel; I've most often heard that it's November through April. I hear that in the summer after kids get out of school there's usually a bit of a bump as well.

We always hit a dive site the second week of December...the second Saturday of this week we notice an immense increase in occupancy. This has held true throughout Mexico and various CA countries. The pricing and occupancy are substantially less this time of the month and are happy to depart as the crowds come in.

We dived with both BlueXTSea and Tres Pelicanos and both are excellent! We have been diving with 3P for the last few years. We have stayed at Occidental, but did not use ProDive. One major benefit of using a "valet dive op", is that they keep and rinse your gear and it is ready for you on the boat. No standing in locker rooms or rinse tanks waiting for the next guy to finish. You also have the same captain and DM who will get to know you and your group

Blue Sea doesn't pickup at Iberostar? I sent them an email. I prefer to use an operator that supports this site. ProDive got a lot of excellent ratings from trip advisor.....decisions decisions......

Staying at the Melia Resort on the north end of the island, I was looking for a dive op that would pick me up. ProDive was the only one, of several I contacted, that would set up the taxi for the ride to Occidental Allegro. This is how I came to dive with them.

This was a part of my TripAdvisor review of Pro Dive from Nov. 2013:

"Booked online and received a 10% discount. Marike Hauser was the reservation specialist I communicated with by email and she was very helpful and provided everything I needed. The cost of the taxi was included in the fee I paid for diving. Although I booked online, Pro Dive would have let me change the diving days I selected.

The only negative I have is that there were 15-16 divers on the boat, not including the dive masters. The boat was big though and getting in the water and out was pretty fast.

The boat was clean and water was provided. The dive masters were knowledgeable, concerned about the diver's safety, and good at finding and pointing out small critters.

I did like the fact that Pro Dive has their own pier at the Allegro Resort near the south end of the island. They don't go and pick up divers from other resort's piers, trips to the dive sites are short, and surface intervals consist of going back to their pier for the 5-10 minutes it takes to replace air tanks and the time it takes to get to the next site. (instead of going to a beach bar)"

I only dove 2 days (I lucked out and dove both days the sun shined) as it rained most of the week. Went to different sites and dives lasted 50-60 minutes.
