private transfer for 2 cozumel airport to iberostar recommendation??

say, last time we went, we booked ahead of time, through some guy recommended, and it seemed like a middle man for cozushuttle.. price was like $115 a couple months ago..round trip private car
is it advised for prebooking a private car before arrival ?? I vaguely recall all the people at the airport exit, but didn't look too much what that was...
the van shuttle thing seems like it could take a while for iberostar, way down on the south side... private to the hotel is what we would prefer..

as far as the return, is a cozushuttle car and a cab similar ??

any one have thoughts on this, would greatly appreciate it... this will be our second time visiting..

You only have 2.5 options.
Take a shuttle (don't book ahead their is usually no line). You have the option of shared or private. The shared van only takes about 15min tgan private and saves alot. The private shuttle leaves immediately but shared waits unlit full.. The vans are loaded per zones so only South customers will be in can and it fills up very quickly. It stops alonlg the routee but again it maybe 2 min a stop and around 3 or 4 stops. Only get one way. Take a Taxi back


The other option is to walk off airport property. Taxi cannot pickup from airport, only drop off. You have to carry your bags off property and cross the street to the other side. There is a taxi stand by Diago toco (google map). That is where you need to go if that option. About $30 but you need to negotiate the fare.

We rented a car at budget for cheap .... it was easy, free parking at iberostar .. and you get to driver around the island a bit in your dry time. I'd do it again. Airport dropoff was easy too. Just a thought

Very easy to get a private shuttle at the airport. Wait until you get to the airport. No need to book ahead.
