We are looking for a private charter (or just a dive-suitable boat) in Monterey on September 18th and 19th, 2010, for a total of 8 people (6 divers). We will bring all gear, foot, etc. We just need a boat to dive from and hang out on each morning through early or mid-afternoon. We thought about bringing our boat down from Sacramento but the cost and time would be too much for a weekend. Any information would be great. Thanks!

How can chartering a boat be less money than towing one to Monterey? Are you planning on driving the boat down the delta, out the bay and down to Monterey?

I much prefer to dive off my own boat. Plus it sounds like you have two people to stay on board.

Try the Escapade... DIVE THE ESCAPADE IN MONTEREY BAY

There was a Tech charter cancellation so the schedule on the calendar will probably shift a bit. Give Capt Jim a shout and see if there's an open slot or two.

If any of your folks are DMs of Instructors they can go on the manifest as crew (if the Captain is willing). Sometimes that can make a 6-pack work.
