When your inflator sticks you disconnect it, problem solved :)

Yes, as you dump excess air and right yourself if needed, which is one of the things practiced in the class.

Funny thing...I have seen many stuck bc inflators but I've rarely seen the diver respond correctly. Most were shot to the surface.

Diving isn't rocket science. I dove for a long time before even being certified, however, formal instruction makes things much easier for some and yes it costs money.
