You're always rolling the dice on eBay - as you're buying from non-authorized dealers (usually) - so even if it's "new", there is no warranty.

The trade off is you're hedging your bet on the product's reliability. 99% of the time, there is no issue with the stuff I buy.

But if there is a product failure, the manufacturer will surely fix it, but it will be on my dime, not theirs. Sometimes, if the product doesn't show up thrashed, and I've called and / or included a compelling letter, I've had stuff repaired no charge long after the warranty has expired.

You gotta make that call - big bux and peace of mind of a manufacturer's warranty, vs. inherent product reliability and cash saved.
