I use the same... and "hundred" can be assumed. If I signal 1... 3... that means 1300 PSI. Usually I tap my thumb and middle finger together like a Pac-Man eating dots to make the zeroes.I try to always use the 1-5 vertical, 6-9 horizontal. It's what I teach, and if I'm diving with new buddies that use something else will try to steer them that way.
Our favorite, which I don't see much out in the field, is a closed fist that "nods" once for every thousand...and resistant to misinterpretation.

Not if you just asked my air pressure.Could be mistaken for “Bubbles - minor leak”.
If you do jazz hands, I think I'd start looking around for a spanish dancer dorid, or maybe a dancing bony fish of some sortNot if you just asked my air pressure.
Besides, I thought bubbles/minor leak was signaled with "jazz hands" while wiggling your fingers!
I signal the same way: 1-5 is fingers vertical, 6-9 is fingers horizontal, just give the first two numbers. The only thing I do different is I close my fist and push it outward to designate zero. The problem with making an "O" using your fingers and thumb is it could be confused with the OK signal.I use the same... and "hundred" can be assumed. If I signal 1... 3... that means 1300 PSI. Which is why you do not make a zero with just your first finger and thumb; you use ALL your fingers and your thumb. The problem with making an "O" using your fingers and thumb is it could be confused with the OK signal.
