[Kamala]

The most famous two Kamalas I know of are the one in the Herman Hesse novel, Siddartha (who is a female and teaches Siddartha a few tricks about the ways of the world) and the other is Kamala the Ugandan Giant, from pro wrestling fame. I'm no fan of pro wrestling, but that's the one for whom I'm named. The naming is a really long story, but basically you shouldn't argue with nice little old ladies who are taking genetic histories that you're from Uganda just because the first humans are from there.ut:

They skipped OOA and BP, as well. And probably man others. It looks to me like the list is more focused on organizations and companies. Anyone know if there is a actual list of diving abbreviations? It would save time, although I've learned stuff, surfing around the Internet trying to track down what an abbreviation stands for.

You might get a few interesting emails as my name really is "Kamala"! My board name is "Wreck Wench" cuz I love wreck diving and I was just asking one of the mods what it would take to switch to my real name as NO ONE ever has it when you joined us! Guess I'm 'Wreck Wench' forever! LOL!!!

P.S. I figured you had the sumo wrestler's name whereas I had the Goddess of Love from Siddartha's fame for mine! And since in reality Neru's wife's name was "Kamala" my real guess was that you were from India...which is where the names originates from.

Things are going awesome down here in Key Largo! Class and pool work was on Monday, OW dives 1 & 2 yesterday, dives 3 & 4 have been delayed for weather, but I'm LOVING every second of it so far. Just a quick update while I look for information on masks (the one I've been using leaks like sieve). More details when I get back to the Boston area after vacation, but the water in Jules Verne's Undersea Lodge in Key Largo is quite foul.
