Thanks for the link. Looks like if I want to go longer it will be 16", and additional 3" from what I have. I'll be in the pool this weekend for my buoyancy class so I'll continue to assess the set up.

Good move. Waiting until you get your rig positioned so you're horizontal is smart. Corrugated hoses are kind of cheap, so it's not a buy it only to go back to the original. BTW, be sure that you're not being restricted by a short inflater hose. An inflater hose that is just right for a thirteen inch hose, will probably be too short for a sixteen inch hose. I ctually have a fairly longish inflater hose. It was set up for a much longer (18") hose and I now dive with a 12" hose. Solution? I actually routed my hose around the tank valve before it goes over the left shoulder. It takes up those extra 6 inches nicely and I'm not limited if I need to hook into a BC with a longer corrugated hose.

Good point about the long inflater hose; I also have that situation. It was the correct length for the corrugated tube on the jacket BCD, but too long now. I'll take a look at rerouting it.

There has to be some slack for the pull dump to work. I've seen peeps get quite frustrated trying to pull that back dump and the inflater hose was too short to allow it.

A lot of people read this forum. Many even have shoulder pull dumps. It's important for those with pull dumps to think about this aspect of changing hose lengths as well. Quite often it's those unexpected little gremlins that bite you in the butt. SB tries to help out with that.
