Poseidon Cyklon IP question

Hello,

I have a Poseidon 2950 first stage, and Cyklon 5000 second. Reg was just rebuilt using new parts.

Question is on IP behaviour. It locks up at 167, when you take a breath it drops to around 145, then rises quickly to high 150's then quite slowly back to 167. I see this using a digital IP gauge.

Is 20+psi a normal IP drop for this first stage.

it's not abnormal, especially with a big breath. That second stage can discharge a mountain of air and the first stage is an old design. The newer ones will drop less, but I wouldn't worry about it.
