I'm a Fish!
Hello all. a few buddys an I are looking to dive Port Sanilac on Lake Huron and looking to find the best deals out their and tips for diving this area?
if anyone out their has any good info or hot spots to look for please drop a few lines thanks! :D

There are 3 boats I'm aware of that operate out of the area:

Rec & Tec
Four Fathoms
Bruno's

Rec & Tec (Gary Venet) runs the Sylvia Anne which is one of the nicest boats on the lakes. It easily holds 12 recreational divers and runs charters all summer out of either Port Sanilac or Harbor Beach. He also runs regular tec charters as well. Four Fathoms runs a 6-pack which is a nice option if you bring 5 others and get the whole boat. They run the only dive shop in Port Sanilac and have a bunkhouse which can easily house 6-8 divers. It includes 2 full baths, a full kitchen, large dining area and patio. Last time I stayed there it was only $20-$25 a night (I can't remember the exact amount).

I have not been out with Bruno yet, but two buddies have and they said they'd recommend them.

The diving is fantastic! Many excellent wrecks in the 40'-120' range.

There isn't much lodging in Port Sanilac itself. There is a nearby campground I've heard of folks using. There is a nice mom-and-pop hotel about 20 minutes due west in Sandusky, MI ... Westpark Inn. It was clean and pretty inexpensive. There seemed to also be good options south of Port Sanilac in Lexington MI, but I've never stayed there myself.

Thanks for all the great feedback their is a lot more to this area than I thought! looks like my hint of the diving their is top notch cant wait till our trip!
