That's why I set mine up the way I did -- hand goes back to hit the LP hose, and immediately in front of it is the tank valve. The yoke knob is behind the hose.
 
I switch between bottle and surface supplied air. Therefore, I sling my pony from snaps/BCD so it is available under both configurations. Using a ffm, I am getting the SARTEK gas block to be able to switch w/o taking off mask from surface or bottle supply.
