Pony Bottle Reg?

Hello All,

I am setting up a Pony Bottle System, and i am torn between two regs:

1) SCUBAPRO MK2 w/R190 2nd Stage
2) Oceanic CDX5 w/Alpha 8 Second Stage @ Scubtoys.com

I live in the Pacific NW, and most of my diving is done in the 40-55 degree range 30-80 Ft.

I want something that is reliable and easy to maintain, and i also do not want to spend a fortune. I have a MK17/G250V with an AIR2 as my primary setup, and love it!

I also would like to support the LDS some more, but the difference between these two regs are $85 (the SP is more).

Because you already have a ScubaPro I would just stick with it. Helps to have similar regs.

I agree with SS although if the budget allows or if you are happy with second hand stuff get something as good as your primary reg set. This way if it has problems or is getting serviced you can use your pony set with confidence.
