Check out X/S Scuba's Companion BC. It is the pony pack harnes with a 30 lbs. lift bladder option. The harness inself includes ditchable integrated weight pockets so it would be great for what you want to do then just strap on the bladder and you have the option of a warm water BC that will take an Al 80 tank!
