politically conservative dive club?

while my club isn't political, it's mostly made up of fairly conservative people. The Aquarians, chartered on Ft Rucker, AL. Most members are either active duty, retired or at least veterans & their family. So the source population just lends itself to folks more to the right than the left.

But generally, so far as politics go, it mostly isn't brought up unless someone wants to talk about it. We welcome everyone & their political leanings are not asked about.

I don't think this guy is a troll, he probably just wants to get a feel for how other dive clubs are. Have you told your fellow club members that you don't want to talk politics? If they don't respect your request maybe you should find another dive club. I'm not sure you have to find a dive club void of liberals, maybe just a dive club with respectful people in it.
